Bug in tourney summary import
Steve -
In the last couple of versions of PC (I'm now using 2.14) the PoketStars tournament summary import doesn't work fully.
If there is more than one summary in an email (and I copy the whole email) PokerCopilot only pastes the first one and just part of the second tourney. I'm having to copy each summary individually.
When I play multiple S&G it would be much easier if PC would paste and import all tourney summaries at once (as it used to).
Hopefully this is something that can be easily fixed.
BTW - Even when playing just two tables, PC is using 100% CPU cycles about half the time. Is this normal?
Thanks
Spazzer

Inappropriate?I haven't pinpointed what's happening here, but have noticed myself that sometimes only the first tournament gets picked up, and sometimes all of them get picked up. Something to do with the clipboard... I'm investigating.
Regarding 100% CPU: this is not normal. Does this always happen for you?

Steve

Inappropriate?After playing more I guess i exaggerated a bit.
It only goes to 100% for a couple of seconds as each hand is being imported.
It also may be my old PowerPC 2GhZ machine. : }
I’m OK

Inappropriate?Hi Spazzer,
Still, interesting to know... I'm developing on a 2009 iMac, so I tend not to notice some performance issues so quickly... :-)

Inappropriate?Hi Steve:
Any word on the tourney summary import problem? I'm using 2.17 and it still only pastes one and part of another summary every time when copying multiple summaries. It's a real pain having to copy each individual summary when I've played many S&Gs during the day.
Thanks
Spazzer
I’m frustrated.

Inappropriate?Spazzer,
Can you copy the e-mails and paste them into textedit without problem? If so, does the entire text get copied?
What software do you use to read your e-mail? Mac OS X's Mail, or another program, or a web browser interface?
How big are the SnGs you are playing? 9 player mostly?

Steve

Inappropriate?Steve:
I use OSX Mail and yes, I just copied a SnG email (select all/copy) with 6 nine player SnGs to TextEdit and the complete text of all six was pasted just fine.
I then went to PCP and just the first SnG and part of the second was shown in PCP (up to the 6th player).
This happens every time with more than one 9 man SnG.
The one time (weeks ago) I processed it like this it messed up the second tourney stats (I don't remember the details) and I had to rebuild the database to correct it.

Inappropriate?Hi Spazzer,
Okay I think I understand what's going on. The "PokerStars Tournament Results..." screen in Poker Copilot only gives you a preview of the beginning of the clipboard contents. When you click on "Process" the whole clipboard is processed.
I think I need to make this clearer in Poker Copilot.

this solves the problem
-
Inappropriate? You're right it does process them all even though it doesn't show the whole clipboard. When I'd tried this when it first happened that wasn't the case.
This begs me to ask - Why doesn't it show the whole clipboard?
I’m puzzled.
-
Inappropriate?Hi Spazzer,
People sometimes copy enormous e-mails into the clipboard (200 games each with 10,000 players, for example!). It was then crashing Poker Copilot when they tried to paste it. So my work-around was to only show a preview of the clipboard.

Steve
